OutofplaceResearchBot
The crawler behind our web research: who runs it, what it fetches, how politely, and how to opt out.
Who we are
OutofplaceResearchBot is run by Outofplace Poland sp. z o.o., an independent product studio in Łomża, Poland. It collects data for the studies we publish on our blog, for example how Polish websites treat AI crawlers or how fast Polish online shops are. We publish results in aggregate and share the derived data with every study.
It identifies itself with this user agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; OutofplaceResearchBot/1.0; +https://www.outofplace.space/bot; contact@outofplace.space)
What it fetches
Only public pages that anyone can open without logging in:
/robots.txt, first, before anything else;- the home page, to read its
<head>: meta tags, structured data, language links; /llms.txt,/llms-full.txtand the sitemap, where they exist.
A typical study touches a site with about six requests, once.
How politely
- It obeys
robots.txt: rules forOutofplaceResearchBotfirst, otherwise the*group. - One request at a time per host, at least a second apart, with timeouts and a single retry.
- It never logs in, fills in forms, runs your scripts or keeps cookies.
- It never collects personal data and never republishes your pages. We keep derived facts (for example "llms.txt: present"), not copies of your content.
How to opt out
Add this to your robots.txt and the bot will stay away:
