Pod is our own product: an IDE for macOS that runs many coding agents side by side on one Mac. It is free and MIT-licensed, and it is in pre-release: the source is public, and the installers are on their way.
Context
We run many coding agents at once on our own Macs, and a fleet works a machine hard: terminals flood, subscriptions run dry, dev servers eat memory and builds pile up. We built claude-acc for that load. In Pod it is part of the IDE, next to a native terminal.
What is in it
- A native terminal: every pane is a native view that runs Ghostty's engine and draws with Metal, not a web page.
- claude-acc built in: subscription rotation, a memory guard for dev servers, builds scheduled by free memory, cleanup, stay-awake and fan control.
- No telemetry: Pod sends nothing home. The telemetry, relay, push, share and feedback services it inherits from Orca are switched off.
Coming after the first release: indexed code search for agents, OrbStack VM environments and the Pod Workspace, a managed home for your repositories.
Built on Orca
Pod is a downstream distribution of Orca (opens in a new tab) by Stably AI, an open-source IDE for coding agents under the MIT licence. Orca brings the IDE itself, per-worktree setup through orca.yaml included. Pod adds the macOS-native parts and claude-acc, and anything generic goes back to Orca as a pull request. Pod is not affiliated with or endorsed by Stably AI.
